BOOK TWO
IN HEAVY HARNESS
CHAPTER 1
Mike stood at the window overlooking the Keldara fields, trying not to shake his head at the mess the visitors had created. He'd never realized there were that many helicopters in Georgia. They'd landed higgledy-piggledy all over his fucking farm. Couple of the barley fields were wrecked. The Mothers were going to be that pissed. Whether they were still important was the real question. Arguably, the answer was yes. But right now they were just refugees. What they might be later was something different. And he needed to make that clear as day. Which was why Anastasia was greeting everyone and getting them seated and Mike was watching Chief D'Allaird scream at some Georgian pilot.
