CHAPTER 5
As they landed, Laura jumped out carrying her bag and waved at her mom.
“Good luck!” Julie shouted over the rotors.
“She’ll be fine,” Tom yelled.
“How many can you take?” a DHS officer asked.
Tom held up fingers for three.
“Who are the rest?” the DHS officer yelled, looking at the passengers.
“One Federal dependent,” Tom yelled, pointing at Julie. “Six Diplomatic! Security!” he added, pointing at himself.
Mister Khopkar held up an Indian diplomatic passport.
The DHS officer looked at it and grimaced.
“Roger!” he said, holding up three fingers to the door.
